Church! of Park Slope

Canning Family 2008After three years, Church! Of Park Slope continues to “blur the lines between church! and community”.

Church! of Park Slope operates an attractive and comfortable coffee shop in Park Slope, a family-friendly Brooklyn neighborhood. The Postmark Café provides a great opportunity for the people of Church! to get to know and become friends with their neighbors.  Many people stop into the café on their way to work. At noon, middle schoolers from a neighborhood school drop by for lunch. A number of neighborhood friends have made Postmark their place to work.  Single adults hang out in the evening. And preschoolers bring their parents or nannies along for "story time."  This is a great place to make healthy connection with our community.

Church! averages about 95 people each Sunday and many more call Church! of Park Slope their spiritual home, but throughout the week, hundreds are impacted by God's love through this dynamic group of servants.

Church! desires to have each of their members involved in service to the community. They serve in soup kitchens, clean up public parks, and offer week long programs for kids in the summer. It's hard to imagine a church doing more good for its community with fewer people. They have to have one of the greatest "community service per capita" ratios in the country!

The church continues to grow and bring in young families moving into the Park Slope area.  Brad Canning and his team are well-respected for tailoring their church planting approach to the unique community in which they live and work.
